Forever In Our Hearts

Hurricane Katrina the biggest natural disaster of our time took countless lives and ravaged seven states before she ended her terror.

The mighty storm was more than a killer of life and land but killed the hearts of many people by the lack of caring from it’s own government if not bad enough to be called a refugee from ones own country but to take more than a week to get help and be made to watch many more die from hungry and thirst.

Yes a sad time for all not only Americans but all to see.

As always the people acted without the help of the government and it took an angry outpour to get the government to move and act.

What will you remember most about this disaster?

Countless displacement of people, so many dead that no one will ever know how many?

Flood waters that were diseased?

Thousands of homes destroyed?

The selfish looting?

Children sent out and lost from parents so they could live?

People being removed from their homes after weeks of enduring the elements?

I will remember it all, and I will forever keep all these people in my heart and let them know at least one cared.
