How does one go about protection ones self spiritually, physically, mentally?  How does one cast a spell to protect someone else, or send energy out to others?  What can you do to protect your home, your work, your family and friends?  This is what we will be discussing tonight, the different methods, majiks, herbs, and so on, used for protection.  The information that we put out is general  and everyone's beliefs are different, and it is right in any form that you chose to do it. We encourage input as well as any other ideas that you may have for protection. Herbs Many herbs have a natural protective essence, and a combination of the right herbs in a big, soup, or tea can really enhance protective energies.  Below is a list of herbs that can be used for protection and a few ways to use them in either spell form, teas, or raw.   Angelica Ash Aspen Balm of Gilead Basil Bay laurel Birch Cinnamon  Cloves Cyclamen Cypress Dill Dragon's blood Elder Elm Fennel Fern Frankincense Garlic  Hawthorn Hazel Hyssop Juniper Linden Mandrake Mistletoe Mullein Myrrh Peony Rose geranium Rosemary Rowan Rue Sage Salt St john's wort Snapdragon Tarragon Vervain Walnut Willow Bags of protection herbs can be placed in purse, backpack, diaper bag, car, house, dog house, etc. Symbols There are many traditional symbols of protection that can protect a home, workspace, or room.  Many are used widely throughout the world, like the horseshoe. Cornucopia Glove Horseshoe Lock Full moon 4-leaf clover   Colors As Pagans, Witches, and Druids we use color and color coordination in many aspects of out daily lives and faith.  This is the same when it comes to the protective aspects of colors.  There are two that have the most protective symbolism, white and black. White = protection Black = absorption of negativity

Rank：Diamond Member Score：4000 Posts：4000 From：USA Register：12/24/2008 03:31 AM	Re：Protection Date Posted：01/15/2009 08:55 AMCopy HTML Protection page 2   RUNES Runes have long been known for their powers of protection, divination, and more.  The following four runes are particularly strong for protective purposes.  They can be carved or drawn under your chair at work, on your mantle in the home, or over the door.  They also make good talismans to wear as well.   A SEA WITCH'S BOTTLE Go to the beach and fill a bottle with ocean water and sand and any small items that have washed up on the beach.  As you add each item to the bottle or jar, say, AMULET OF THE SEA WHICH I HAVE FOUND, PROTECTIVE ENERGY IN YOU IS BOUND.  When it is done cap it tightly and take it home.  When you get home, dig a hole next to your front door or place it under the house and say, WAVES ON THE SAND, THE TIDES IN MOTION; YOU ARE NOW A SILENT OCEAN.  AVERT ALL EVIL TO THE SEA; THIS IS MY WILL, SO MOTE IT BE.    An earth protection bottle  fills a slender bottle with earth or salt and place next to the entrances to your home   A fire protection spell In a clear spot at least 20 feet in diameter, gather together plenty of wood, matches, and a quantity of water.  Taking up one of the sticks of wood, draw a rough circle about 11 feet in diameter. Determine the directions and lay a small fire at each point just inside the circle. Lay the fires but do not light tem next to each, place enough fuel to keep them burning for at least a half an hour.  Walking to the south first light the fire shouting or saying the verse NOTHING FROM THE SOUTH CAN HARM ME! Move to the west and say, NOTHING FROM THE WEST CAN HARM ME! Move to the north and say, NOTHING FROM THE NORTH CAN HARM ME! Move to the east and say, NOTHING FROM THE EAST CAN HARM ME! Return to the southern fire and take a stick from the fire.  Hold it up and say, NOTHING FROM ABOVE CAN HARM ME!  Hold it down toward the ground and say, NOTHING FROM BELOW CAN HARM ME!  Return the stick to the fire and sit in the center of the circle adding fuel as necessary for the next half an hour.  Meditate on the fire's protection and feel the power of it working for you.  Plant the sight of the fires in your memory (burn it in your mind and spirit) so that you can bring the power to you whenever you need it just by remembering this sight. After a half an hour, let the fires go out on their own and then cover with earth and water.  The earth and water help to ensure that the physical fires are completely out and that the Magickal powers are spread out completely.  Then open the circle and rub it away. If you do not have somewhere outside to perform this spell, you can use four red candles inside as your fires.  When using candles, at the end of the ritual where the fires go out, start at the western candle and pinch or snuff the candles. Cauldron and knife protection spell Just before going to bed, fill a bowl, pot or bucket with water and place a sharp knife blade down inside.  Set them near your front door and say, INTO THE WATER I PLACE THIS BLADE TO GUARD AGAINST THIEF AND SHADE.  MAY NO FLESH NOR ASTRAL SHELL ENTER THIS PLACE WHEREIN I (WE) DWELL. Stone of protection spell Take a small stone with high vibrations and hold it in your power hand.  Charge the stone with protective energy while chanting, STONE, EVIL YOU SHALL DENY.  SEND IT TO THE EARTH AND SKY.  SEND IT TO THE FLAME AND SEA.  STONE OF POWER, PROTECT ME.  Now, carry it with you always. To protect children and spouses  throw a hand full of earth or sand after them as they leave without them knowing, it will ensure their safety. A traditional form of protection for Witches is to place a broom (besom) in front of your door or next to your fireplace.  Also, if building a new home, build a broom into the threshold of your house for constant protection from harm. There are many stones that can be used for protection, most will call out to you through vibrations and energy.  One very useful stone is Smoky quartz. Dream catchers are used for protection against dreams that are negative. Using incense, or smudge ticks/wands to clear the house (space) of negative energy will help to bring about protective forces. Celtic knots are a form of protection also.  They distract the negative beings till they can be turned away or banished. Mirror traps with a pentacle on them are used as ": cage mirrors" to trap beings. Protection cords can be tied to trees, plants, fences, etc. around the perimeter of the yard to protect land AND house.  They can be buried in the ground at the four cardinal points for protection.  I would suggest a white core, a black cored and the direction's symbolic color of cord to be buried at the four points. Necklace charms made form seashells; gems or stones and wax for children and Adults are useful and pretty.
